Are you basing your relationship with God on what’s in it for you or in terms of what can you do for him?

Do not let the enticements of the secular world in! These temptations are increasing daily. When facing temptations of the enemy speak the word over your life, stop focusing on self because when you do it draws your focus away from God. We are to deny self and follow Jesus the only one who can provide all of our needs, love, care and the forgiveness that we so desperately need. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23).


Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth thee.(Isaiah 26:3)
By keeping my mind fixed on God, his word, his love and his goodness and by placing all my trust in him I do know peace even in my turmoil’s. I can endure situations because of my trust and do it with peace knowing that God will bring me through according to his will and in his perfect timing. Because of my personal relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ I view situations differently. I know that there is a season and a reason for everything and that God is working it for the good. I have peace because I trust God and I know that the results are in his hands.
