A Prayer for Patience - October 4th

Father God, we honor You and bless The Name of Your Son Jesus continually. Lord we pray that as we grow in our walk with You, that we increase in patience. (2Pet 1:6). Help us display this spiritual attribute the way You would toward our spouses, children, church members and coworkers. Your Word says that as we encounter various predicaments and challenging situations, we are to count such trials a joyful thing. These tests of our faith produce patience in us. Help us to allow such things to mature us and make us stronger Christians (Jm 1:2-4).

When we ask of You- when we seek and knock for You, let us patiently wait on Your response (Ps 40:1). Thank you for the comfort in knowing that through faith and patient diligence we will inherit Your promises.

Each day we set our hearts toward Heaven. And with great anticipation and patient expectation we look for the coming of Our Lord Jesus. We are not idle in our waiting, but busy serving in Your Kingdom and laboring in Your vineyard. For we know that You have long patience as you wait for the precious fruit of the harvest of souls (Jm 5:7). We need Your strength so we can be stedfast, unmoveable and abound in Your work. In Jesus' powerful name we pray. Amen
