MY BROTHER'S TEARS

TEARS IN MY EYES

Tears in my eyes from thoughts of my past

Although I've moved on I know they last

Lesson's I've learned have given me sight

Because I was wronged doesn't mean I wasn't right

Right meaning there was a need for me to know

Unless it happened then how would I ever grow

Tears in my eyes the lost out weighed the means

Thankful unto God am I for what I've seen

A heart not broken only bruised

Time will heal no longer will I be confused

I stand not as a victim only a casualty

Knowing one day love will set me free

Tears in my eyes have brought about a change

That which lives within still remains

Unlike the love before that came and went

The next love will truly be heaven sent

All that was shared was simply to prepare

Me for the one no other could compare

Tears in my eyes are true and genuine

Realizing love was not lost I had yet to find

Understanding what was to be allowed me to see

Love that was given was simply not meant to be

Alone I shall wait and simply bide my time

Tears in my eyes are for the love that's truly mine
