I guess you could say my thing is poetry. I've tried writing short stories, and verious other genres, but I always return to poetry. Over the next few days and weeks, I will share some of my work. Right now, my heart isn't in it. I'm a little sad right now and so my work will reflect that and I don't want to particularly write about anything sad. I like my work to be uplifting and encouraging.
    Kisses,
    Rynda

Have you ever noticed how the Father steps in at what is sometimes the last possible moment and makes a way out of "no way"?
Without going into too many details, God stepped in and saved me from the mistake of a lifetime. He shielded me from a downfall and saved me from sin.
So many times we want what WE want instead of what God has for us. I am going to make a concerted effort to do things God's way. To be patient and wait for Him to reveal things to me. Just today, less than an hour ago, the Lord revealed something to me that caused me to stop and think. I'd been ignoring that 'Oh-Oh" feeling, and today it was revealed to me what I couldn't feel a certain way, why I would not allow myself to go in a certain direction, what made me lose sleep and cause me to think deep and long on the situation.
Praise God! If we trust and never doubt, He Himself will guide us. He Himself will lead us. God Almighty Himself will protect us...even if we need protection from ourselves.

I thank God this morning for the gift of reading. To be able to view the printed page, to be able to comprehend what is written. I think about all those before me who were unable, not allowed, for whom reading was a crime. My heart hurts for our young people who refuse to read, who do not value the printed page. It is only through reading, studying can we obtain knowledge, wisdom and understanding so that decisions we make will be good ones. Beneficial to ourselves and to those who depend on us.

Michael, you left us much too soon, but it seems that your race has been been run.
As Mother Angelou said, " You came from the Creator, trailing creativity..."
We often didn't understand you, how your heart must have hurt.
We made you one dimensional, a caricature of humanity..."Leave me alone" you said in your song...but still the taunts endured.
"Have you seen my childhood" you asked, we all responded with tears in our eyes.
Then danced to "Blood on the Dance Floor" and never sought to understand why.
Oh Michael, rest in peace Sweetheart. Nobody knew of your good deeds until you'd closed your eyes.
You would have laughed at the looks of astonishment on the faces of those who didn't know that you were the pop star who gave the most money to charities.
You, dear Michael, broke the color barrier at MTV, back when a black man could scrub and polish the floors and a black woman could , "run quick and fetch us some lunch"
"We are the world! We are the children!" Yes we are Michael. Each one of us is somebody's precious child. Somebody planted our seed and somebody gave birth to that seed. Somebody nurtured, loved and cared for us, until here we are a full-grown man or woman seeking to give back.
You gave back Michael, and what did you get in return?
I won't dwell on the negatives, I will soar above the ground, and look for you in a summer breeze, and listen for you in a spring rain.
Sleep my dear Michael, take your rest. The music will never end...as long as hearts beat, and toes tap, as long as fingers snap and backsides are in motion and legs and arms are thrown sassy across the dance floor...Michael Jackson lives!

"God is good!" the people proclaimed
"All the time" , the old lady said.
"He is my way maker, and my heart regulator"
"Yes indeed", the old lady said,.
But did you know that He also allows certain things to come into
Your life to test your resolve, to try your heart?
The trials and tribulations that all humans face...
Did you know Our Lord allows these things to see if you will trust His
    Grace?
Myself, an example...divorced and alone, but I'm never lonely, my heart
    Has a home.
God will wipe away the tears, God will take away the pain.
Someone else has financial duress, God Himself will wipe the
Slate clean and start you over again.
To the crying child and the girl on the street, turn you life over to Christ
Your joy will be made complete, your sorrows will cease.
"God is good!!" The people proclaim
    "

"God is good!" the people proclaim
"All THE TIME!" The old lady said.
We understood at last, that her wisdom had stood the test of time,
Through trials, and heartaches, God had and will continue to be
    Good.

(I hit the wrong button, this poem should be all together...sorry)
