COVERED IN THE STORM

God is God ALL by Himself. He is AWESOME!!! HALLELUJAH to the Lamb of God.

Good afternoon, my brothers and sisters in the Lord. A tornado hit my street on the evening of Friday, June 12, 2009; it took the power out. A couple of trees or so landed on my home, and more trees were uprooted along the way. God's blessings remained upon me and my son. Out of all of the trees falling upon the house, not one of them came through the window, wall, or rooftop. God is so GOOD. I could never tell it all.

There will be many storms in our lives naturally, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally so. If we keep our minds on God as we attempt to please Him in all that we say and do, we will find ourselves more than sufficiently covered in the storm. As some of you may know, I myself encountered a different type of storm on the night of June third which caused me to write a poem entitled "CAN YOU BE A FRIEND?" I was feeling really sad and heartache entered from no place, but as always God let me know that I was not alone. He also provided more than enough company for me. After four years of living alone with my son and no visitors, God sent my one of my nephews to live with us. This provided a long sought after role model for my child. He now has a seventeen year-old male with whom he can relate in his gender up bringing. I no longer have a need to continually tell him, "You are going to grow-up to be a man. Therefore, you do not put on my shoes and act like me." Solomon turn ten on June fourth. My nephew moved in on June sixth, and I can see a change in my son already. My niece moved in today, and God has given me great joy. I moved into this house to get custody of them four years ago. Now, my family is complete. ALL of my babies are home, and we are going to make it out all right. I know this because God has been with us through the storm, and He promised to never leave us nor forsake us.
There are many who face these types of storms on a continual basis. We must consider them and allow ourselves to be found worthy of being called a "TRUE FRIEND." There may be one of you who is going through a storm in your life right now. I want you to know that just as God was with Job when he entered the storm of loosing all, with Abraham in the storm of fear, with Daniel in the storm of jealousy, and with the Hebrew boys in the storm of envy "He is and will remain with you. Because He is with you, you ARE COVERED IN THE STORM." God shut up the wombs of every thing in the king's kingdom for the sake of Abraham, and the king blessed Abraham as he sent him out with his wife. God sent an angel to close the mouth of the hungry lions which consumed his accusers when the king let Daniel out. God loosed the bindings of the Hebrew boys and covered them from the consumption of the flames in the furnace. He is the same today, tomorrow, and forevermore. God never changes. So, no matter what you are going through know that you are in the best place when you remain with God for you are COVERED IN THE STORM.
