In your statement "So start working on your priorities... make a list and check it twice, three times or however many times you need to and stick to your plans... write it down and make it plain!!!" –
My Priority is NOW God (in every direction that you are able to imagine priorities!). I had to come to a humble position on my knees in tears, looking up and praying (and let me tell you - the tears are only for those who shed them - they will NOT move Heaven!) -before I realized that through it all - through all of the hustle and bustle in life - through all of the complaining and through all the times of seeing my goals right before my hands, but as I went out to touch them, they would drop just one more time - God told me that I was putting other things before Him, making that other thing my god. I had no idea what I was doing, nor did I know it was a sin, as I was doing it unknowingly. I have spent the last 45 minutes looking for the scripture where it states that we are not to spend more time with anything more than God, and I am unable to find it. Everything is the plan of God – so I am not to, which is obvious. Anyway, only when I repented and realized that God is my priority and NOTHING is before Him, not even family, or Church and made sure that I am to...
Matthew 6:33
33 …… seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”…..that I realized, that until I spoke, owned and lived the above scripture, nothing else would be correct. There is no other priority than God, there is no list that needs to be made (and I made hundreds). If God is not the only priority on that list – you may as well burn your list once more – and keep “trying” to make that list, until God is the first and only on it. For….. 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”. (Matthew 6:24)
If God is not the first and only on your list – you will not be able to be blessed with the ability to 27 “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27), for he will constantly be allowed to tempt, trap, trip and fall and kill you. Below is an example for one individual that I found online, while I was looking for the scripture to support what I am saying. I could not find it, because I do not know the exact wording to find it in my Strong’s Concordance, and being a student, I do not have the hour or so it will take at this time to find it for you. You will have to do that on your own. But this individual states that:
If you are a Christian, God obviously comes first. Jesus said, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). He is the ultimate priority. Until He is first, everything else will seem out of kilter.
Many blessings, and have an excellent eternally blessed day!
