SIMPLE OBJECTS
God often uses simple, ordinary objects to accomplish His tasks in the world. It is important only that we be dedicated to Him for His use. What do we have that God can use? Anything and everything is a possible "instrument" for Him.
A staff in Exodus 4:2-4. Moses used it to work miracles before Pharaoh.
Horns: Joshua 6:3-5 - Joshua used it to flatten the walls of Jericho.
A fleece: Judges 6:36-40 - Gideon used it to confirm God's…

Dear Father,
Thank you that there is no condemnation for me now that I am in Christ Jesus. Through the principle of the Spirit of life in him I have been set free from the principle of sin and death.
You, my God, did what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. You sent your own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin. Through him you condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the just requirement of the law might be…

VERSE: Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
-- Jeremiah 23:24
THOUGHT:
There is no hiding from God, but for those who willingly and joyously seek him, there is comfort, power, and hope in knowing his presence is ever with us.
PRAYER:.
El Shaddai,…

Psalm 119:1-11 What sorts of things find their way into our hearts and minds? We are not taking full responsibility for our lives when we expose ourselves to a constant barrage of ungodly words, music, or images. On the other hand, we can fill our hearts and minds with God's Word, and therefore create a defense against some of the evil messages the world sends our way.
The writer of Psalm 119 declared, "I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have…

Abraham when he was called brought a Lot with him; today most of us when we are called bring a lot of Lots with us. And that really is not a problem in bringing our Lots with us, after all Jesus wants us just as we are.
However, there comes a point in our lives just as it did with Abram when our old self and our new self begins to come into conflict with each other, a time when we are unable to receive all that is due to us because we have ran out of space, a time when…

VERSE: But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
-- 2 Thessalonians 3:3
THOUGHT:
It's amazing to me how Satan knows our "silver bullet sins" -- those sins that can especially wound and disable us from the work of Christ. Commit in your heart to ask God to protect you, your family, and one other person (you'll silently and daily support in prayer) from the attacks of the evil one.…

Happy Father's Day to all of the Fathers and Fathers to be! If your Father is still here, celebrate him, call him up and tell him how much you love him and if he's close by, go and give him a big hug and tell him how much you love and care for him! If you have not seen or gotten along with your Dad in a while, try to make up and if it's not possible, then there's a…

Appreciated because he gives his children care...
valued because he gives his children time...

VERSE:
-- Psalm 90:2, 4
THOUGHT:
So many things about our life are uncertain. This one thing, however, is sure: no matter where, when, or how long, God will be there and will be with us and for us.
PRAYER:
Everlasting Father, I find great comfort in knowing that I cannot be in a place or time where you are not. Stir my courage through your Spirit that I may be more bold, by…

BOUNTIFUL SOWING
2 Corinthians 9:1-8 Dear Father, righteous and gracious God, Create in me a holy readiness to give of that which you have given me, never as an exaction but as a willing gift. Help me to sow bountifully so that I shall reap bountifully. Let me make up my mind about what to give.
Then let my giving be cheerful, not with reluctance or under compulsion. And why shouldn't I…

GIVING PRODUCES THANKSGIVING
2 Corinthians 9:11-15
Dear Father, righteous and gracious God, we know that you will enrich us in every way for great
generosity, and we pray that our giving will produce thanksgiving to you! Let our giving not only serve mankind but also glorify your name.
Let us glorify you by being obedient in every way to the Good News about Jesus. Let our…

VERSE: The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

God's voice is always speaking. His witnesses give testimony to his glory, majesty, and creative grace. The universe shouts with joy that behind its intricate beauty and paralyzing powers is the
One who gave it…

HEARTS OF LOVE AND ACTION
2 Corinthians 8:8-9
Dear Father,
Give us hearts of love, that refuse to say, "Go, be warmed and filled," but instead give what is needful to those full of need.
Help us prove that our love is genuine, remembering that the Lord Jesus himself was very rich in heaven with you but for our sakes he became poor that by his poverty we might become…
