It Ain't What it Looks Like: The devil is lying to you!!!

I am just so sick and tired of the devil lies and how we get so sucked into everything he says and everything we see as though that that... Whatever we see and experience in this life is only one side of the coin... we take it as though there is nothing we can do about it or accept our situation as the reality. So often we will say if God wants it to change, He will change it. Or I'm just waiting on the Lord, He knows and He sees and He'll step in when He needs to. Our Father does what He wants to and what He has to ...He gave us the power to create and the power to change things as well....but most of us either forget we have that kind of power and authority or we simply don't know we have it.

1 Peter 5:7&8
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

When we take the stress and weight of the cares of life and give them to the Lord it is easier to see things as God sees them and confess His promises. Most of us, if we're honest, aren't praying enough as it is ...let alone declaring and confessing God's word and His promises. No wonder we believe the enemies lies and trust in our "five senses" more than our spiritual sense. Whether we admit it or not, we are living more in the flesh than in the spirit. When we live in the spirit, we mind the things of the spirit and we think spiritually. When we walk after the flesh we mind the things of the flesh and we think carnally or worldly. The sad part is, too many of us Christians and especially those of us who are ministers and claim to be "more spiritual' or "deep"...don't even know the difference.
The bible says the devil is "as" a roaring lion...he really is only a little kitty cat...with NO TEETH!!!
He makes a lot of noise and causes conflict to seem as though he has control and many times we fall for it . But he really has no ablity to hurt or harm us as it may seem ...but if he can get us to believe he does his work is done. Just as we must provide faith in order to see the things of God manifest in our lives, we must provide fear in order to see the things of the devil manifest in our lives. ONce we become followers of Christ, we are no longer to live in fear. For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of love , power and of a sound mind.

We are God's people and we are born of God. We are going to go through things in our families, in our marriages and relationships, in our financial situations and in our bodies but we are to practice taking these things to the throne of Grace. Not taking them on as if we are strong enough to bear these things on our own. Our pride sometimes takes over and convinces us to do all we can to fix things and if and when it gets bad enough then we can include God.
And we are not to allow the ungodly to give us counsel or advice. How can anyone who does not understand God's word or spiritual things advise you in things pertaining to life? They can only give you the worldly perspective which is often times what caused the problem in the first place. " If I were you, I wouldn't take that". " You need to give him the silent treatment for a few days." " It's not good to be giving all your money to that church or that pastor, especially now that we are in a recession". " Yeh, that happened to my friend and the next thing I heard he left her and the kids". " You need to just prepare for the worst , most people don't ever survive that". " They said they weren't hiring right now, don't even go up there." Lies, lies, and more lies!!! And one of the biggest one of the all, " It's been so so long, don't you think if it were supposed to get better things would've changed by now?" or his all time favorite " God doesn't even hear your prayers anyway".


Just because something didn't work for someone else, does not mean it won't work for you. You are blessed and highly favored and when you walk in a room you don't walk in alone...the angels of the Lord goes before you.
Just because someone else didn't survive with that diagnosis does not mean you won't. You are the exception to the rule!!!!

Our Father wishes that we prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. If we would acknowledge Him in all of our ways He will direct our path. And He could save us a lot of heartache, a lot of time and energy and sometimes a lot of money too. Just by going to Him first... including Him in our life should not be something we need to learn to do but for most of us it is. God wants to be more than just "the Man upstairs" He wants to be the love of your life, the man of your dreams...the one you meditate on and think of all day long.

That way the devil won't have such a easy time tricking us and lying to us about everything in life.
When we have a strange pain, he trys to tell us we have some fatal disease or we have the same thing our grandmother or aunt had. Whenever we've paid our tithe and we have financial problems , the devil will say 'see there, this tithe and offering stuff doesn't work' or he'll say 'now what are you going to do? you might as well tell a lie or scheme to get money like you used to. He'll even tell you you will never get out of this financial hole. You're always going to be broke. The devil is a liar and he is the father of lies. So many people believe his lies and live their lives based upon them. Whenever the husband and the wife find it hard to communicate or things that nomally did not bother you about your spouse suddenly does, the devil quickly speaks and trys to make you think of all the negative things in your marriage. And if you entertain those thoughts, you may find yourself mad and angry just because you remembered something years ago that you were hurt about. And please....don't have a bad dream concerning your spouse and he or she does something in the dream that makes you angry and you wake up angry with your spouse as though it was real!!! LOL!!! The devil is a liar and the truth is not in him!! He comes to steal kill and destroy. Anything that is good or a blessing or that has life He wants to destroy.
Have you ever noticed how some of the best times with your family or friends are soon followed by some type of accident or some misunderstanding, or some crazy incident that trys to spoil all the fun. The devil hates laughter, joy, and love...he hates when a husband and wife are getting along great or a family loving each other. He hates anything that brings you joy and peace and abundant life. So when any of those things seem to be under attack, smile and remember this is just another test of your faith, an illusion and it is not the final picture or the end of the matter!

Now, let me make this real plain...I'm spiritually smart enough to know that most of these things are really NOT the devil at all, there just our human and carnal tendencies mostly. Most times the devil doesn't have to say or do anything...he can just sit back and watch us talk our ownselves into doubt ,fear and unbelief all by ourselves.
But, that's a whole other blog for next time, the point is It Ain't What It Looks Like...the things we see are temporary and subject to change due to God's creative power in us.
The truth of the matter is we have the ability to create the life we are promised by His word. Every area of life God has a perfect plan and promise for those of us who believe. Through our prayers, our praise and the power of our tongues, what we speak out of our mouths, we can redesign and re create our lives according to God's word and His perfect will.

Don't allow what you see to discourage you any longer...no matter how long you've been seeing it!!! You can go into your secret closet and praise your circumstances and situations right into CHANGE...For your good!!!
Believe it, Know it, Speak it, and Watch for it!!! You're gonna have to fight the good fight of faith! You're going to have to pick up your sword of the spirit and start learning how to use it and to use it well! You are a soldier in the army of the Lord! You are anointed to conquer...you are created in the image and likeness of the Father... Y ou have the power to speak to any mountain and command it to be removed and cast into the sea and it will obey you!!! Through Jesus Christ you can do ALL things...Nothing shall be Im possible to you! You're powerful, you're beautiful, you're rich, you're creative, you're wise, you're strong, you're gifted, youre talented, you're healed, you're forgiven, you're free, you deserve happiness, you deserve wealth, you deserve to all that God has promised you...all because Jesus Christ made it possible !!!

Don't be fooled..it's already done!!! You have the Victory!
