So many reason come to mind.  God know the heart of man.  We don't obey the word of God.  Don't follow direction.  Won't repent of Our Sins.  Won't give Unto The Lord what is due Him.  We must relearn God's way and His will.  We must Repent and be taught how to obey and sow seeds that we can reap our Blessings.

Agreed but by and large we are not good stewards (1Cor4:2)
Listed below are the main reasons:
1.no financial education (Hosea 4:6)Knowledge
2.no financial game plan (Prov. 29:18)Vision
3.no financial leadership (Ezk.34:1-10) Leadership
4.No financial sense of urgency (2 Cor.8:10-11) Procrastination
