Precious Lord today a new day
waiting patiently, hoping, wondering
Will this be the day?
You know that special day
The one I asked you to prepare me for

Soon I realise in no time at all
This day rapidly start to pass
As I let out a sigh of relieve
I realise I was filled with anxiety
You see as I waited thoughts filled my mind
What was my walk yesterday like with you
Was it filled with love?
Did I help anyone in need?
Oh Lord I just cannot remember

Even now as the next day draw neigh
I am wondering when I woke this morning
As I kneeled to pray
Was I in the gap for anyone?
Did I just think of myself
Did I thank you or lifted your name

Oh Precious Lord as each new day passes
And the time fast approaching
As the wait is almost over
How ready am I
Did I allow you to prepare me?
Or did I do my own thing

Precious Lord prepare
me to be ready for you
Help me to be pure and Holy
