    Biography

Steven Eugene Miller was born February 22, 1955 in Springfield, Ohio to Clarence Fred and Winifred Ann(Armstrong)Miller. Steven is the 7th born and 8th child in the union of Clarence and Winifred Miller. His parents had ten children with two sets of twins of which Steven was born one year and one day after the first set of twins and two and a half years before the second set. At the age of fourteen, Steven's life took a drastic turn. His brother, Tommy, drowned in a lake on a farm that his father was painting. Not to go into details, but Tommy was his idol, his mentor, his god. Tommy was 16 yrs. old on that dreadful day. Tommy was every thing Steven wasn't, he was tall and muscular, athletic and daring but most of all Steven, not only wanted to be like his brother but he wanted to be Tommy. His first self-published book, Semmaster's Thoughts (Life of A Little Man), is a condensed version of the life of Steven Eugene Miller, in the form of poetry.
Semmaster's Thoughts are a series of poems partitioned by the emotional reflections of a man who has finally taken control of his body, mind and soul from the demons within. The Great Master has awakened my senses to the sweet smells, sounds and sights of a literary world full of the essence, verbal expressions and visions that has long been ascending from gut to mouth to paper, the truth as it reflects the path I must trek to enter into the Mansion of The Creator. The second book in the Semmaster's Thoughts series is Semmaster's World Of Haiku. Semmaster's World Of Haiku is a photographic view of a ancient Japanese form of prose, written and illustrated, only in the way Semmaster brings it to life...
Haiku is a minimalist form of poetry. The writer has 17 or fewer syllables through which to convey an experience, usually about nature, weather or way of life. The sequence follows as five-seven-five lines (5-syllables 7-syllables-5-syllables). Semmaster added his own special touch on this ancient Japanese form of prose by placing three of them under one heading. See example:
    ARK OF THE COVENENT

    1.
    The Ark of God's Plan
To be one with His people
    For them to serve Him

    2.
    Take care of My home
    Obey the laws of IAM
    IAM with you all

    3.
    I will be with thee
I will walk with thee on earth
    Ye will not know me
