THE PEN

I am the pen chosen thus I write’

Reaching within the darkness shedding light

Blood that flows thru my veins on paper inspires

Each heart beat words intensify passion and desire

Words less spoken are revealed willingness to share

Praying others realize they are not alone in despair

Life’s story true in nature comprised through heartache

To which all can relate in this world of give and take

I am the pen used by so many and often discarded

Still possessing unconditional love not broken hearted

Courage to stand up exposed for all to see

Writing the words that now live within me

Never shameful forever mindful of my existence

My trials act as motivation toward others persistence

To bear witness to the goodness and mercy provided

One’s faith never waivers realizing its Christ that guide

I am the pen chosen bless with a special gift to inspire

Undeniable thus I am unbreakable forged in the fire

Within the Blacksmith’s hands I became who I am

I am the pen chosen all that I write He commands
